About

Eagleview Group Campground is situated along the Umpqua River in southwestern Oregon, one of only two rivers in Oregon with headwaters that begin high up in the Cascade Mountains and flow to the Pacific Ocean. Located between Roseburg and the coast, the campground lies in a broad river canyon surrounded by deeply forested mountainsides. The campground accommodates groups of up to 100 people across 10 campsites and features a covered pavilion, large communal fire pit, and a grassy field ideal for group activities like bocce ball, croquet, frisbee, and a small disc golf course. Horseshoe pits are also available. The Umpqua River provides excellent fishing opportunities for chinook salmon, coho, steelhead, and smallmouth bass depending on the season, and the river is perfect for floating on kayaks or canoes or swimming on hot summer days. The campground is managed by the Bureau of Land Management and operates on a reservation-only system through Recreation.gov. Reservations must be made at least 24 hours in advance. The Umpqua River Scenic Byway offers access to coastal communities, Elkton wineries, and the Dean Creek Elk Viewing Area. The Pacific Ocean is approximately 45 miles west via Highway 138.
