About

Pine Meadows Campground is located on Cottage Grove Lake in Oregon's southern Willamette Valley, nestled in the low foothills of the Calapooya Mountains. The campground features nearly 100 campsites surrounded by a diverse mixture of marshland, coniferous forests, and grasslands. Sites 1-92 are standard sites within the main campground loop, while sites A-O are primitive sites in a separate adjacent loop with limited amenities. Several sites are located directly on the lakeshore. Each standard site includes a fire ring and picnic table, with access to flush toilets, showers, and a dump station. The area is managed to provide habitat for a wide variety of wildlife species, including waterfowl, black-tailed deer, upland game birds, songbirds, bald eagles, and osprey. Birdwatchers can spot rare species like the purple martin, willow flycatcher, and yellow-breasted chat. The lake is a designated stop along the Big River Loop of the Willamette Valley Birding Trail, a self-guided driving tour that includes 138 birding hotspots. Cottage Grove Lake offers numerous recreational opportunities both on land and water. Nearby boat ramps at Lakeside Park and Wilson Creek Park provide easy access to the lake for boating and fishing. Families can enjoy the swim beach, picnic areas, and children's play area. The campground is managed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, and alcohol is prohibited at all Cottage Grove Lake areas. Weekend reservations require a minimum 2-night stay, and holiday weekends require a 3-night minimum.
