About

Yatesville Lake State Park occupies a peninsula on the eastern side of Yatesville Lake in Lawrence County, Kentucky. The 2,300-acre lake was created in 1988 by the Army Corps of Engineers for flood control and now provides excellent opportunities for bluegill, bass, and crappie fishing. The Pleasant Ridge Campground is the only campground located directly on the shores of Yatesville Lake and offers diverse camping experiences from improved sites with electric hookups to secluded boat-in and hike-in primitive sites. The campground features 27 standard electric sites that accommodate RVs up to 35 feet, including unique double-wide sites that can host two RVs side by side. The park's boat-in campsites provide a unique opportunity for secluded lakeside camping accessible only by watercraft. Four hike-in tent sites offer primitive camping for those seeking a backcountry experience. The campground is well-equipped with modern bathhouses featuring hot showers, laundry facilities, a dump station, and a playground. Beyond camping, the park features the Mary Ingles Trail System with six loop trails, the 20-mile Yatesville Lake Multi-Use Trail for hiking and mountain biking, and the 18-hole Eagle Ridge Golf Course. The full-service Yatesville Marina offers boat rentals, fuel, bait and tackle, and was recognized as the nation's Most Outstanding Project in 1999.

From U.S. 23, take Route 3 approximately 3 miles to Route 1185. Route 1185 ends at the Yatesville Lake Marina (approximately 3 miles).
