Jenny Wiley State Resort Park

The campground is closed until March 2027 for renovations. The campground has been housing flood-displaced residents and is undergoing park-wide improvements as part of a $7 million renovation project.

About

Jenny Wiley State Resort Park campground occupies a scenic position along Dewey Lake in Floyd County, Kentucky. Named for Virginia settler Jenny Wiley who was captured by Native Americans in 1789 and later escaped, the park preserves both natural beauty and regional history. The 118-site campground provides standard electric sites with water hookups arranged across three loops, accommodating RVs up to 92 feet in length. Two central bathhouses offer hot showers and flush restrooms, while additional amenities include a dump station, laundry facilities, and a camp grocery store. The adjacent marina features 199 boat slips, three launch ramps, and pontoon rentals for exploring the 1,100-acre lake. Over 13 miles of hiking trails wind through the surrounding Appalachian terrain, and an 18-hole disc golf course provides additional recreation. The park is also home to the Jenny Wiley Theatre, which hosts Broadway-style productions during summer months. Fishing for bass, catfish, and crappie is popular on Dewey Lake, and the lodge pool is available to overnight guests.
