About

Four Coves Campground sits within the 3,144-acre Beech Fork State Park in Wayne County, West Virginia, about 12 miles south of Huntington. The campground occupies a scenic peninsula along Beech Fork Lake, a 720-acre impoundment known for its bass, muskie, and catfish populations. All 88 sites have 30-amp electric hookups, picnic tables, and fire rings with grills. The campground operates seasonally from mid-April through October and offers a full-service bathhouse with hot showers, flush toilets, and coin-operated laundry facilities. Waterfront sites like 183 and 184 provide direct lake access with mature trees for shade. The park headquarters houses a camp store open April through October selling groceries, camping supplies, fishing gear, bait, ice, and firewood. Beech Fork State Park offers extensive recreational opportunities including hiking and biking trails, two disc golf courses, and exceptional bird watching. The lake supports non-motorized and limited motorized boating. Reservations can be made online, by phone, or at the campground office, with a two-night minimum on weekends and 14-night maximum stay.
