About

Yankee Meadow Campground is a scenic high-elevation destination in Utah's Dixie National Forest, nestled at 8,500 feet among aspen and conifer forests. The campground overlooks Yankee Meadow Reservoir, with dramatic views of the towering volcanic cliffs of Sydney Peaks in the distance. It offers 27 single sites and 2 double sites, plus group sites with covered pavilions for larger gatherings. The area is known for excellent trout fishing and boating on the reservoir. Multiple trails depart from or pass near the campground, including routes to Vermillion Castle, Noah's Ark, Henderson Hill, and the Yankee Meadows Loop. ATV enthusiasts can access the Markagunt and Second Left Hand trails, with an ATV corral available for vehicle parking. Each campsite includes a picnic table and fire ring. Vault toilets and potable drinking water are provided. There is no trash service, so campers must pack out all garbage. Quiet hours are enforced from 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m., with no generators permitted during that time.
