About

Spruces Campground occupies a scenic position on the south shore of Navajo Lake within the Dixie National Forest. The high-elevation setting (around 9,000 feet) offers cool mountain air and spectacular views of the surrounding area. Navajo Lake provides excellent opportunities for canoeing, kayaking, and fishing, while the nearby meadows and forests support abundant wildlife for viewing and photography. The campground features two loops with a mix of single, double, and walk-in tent sites, all equipped with picnic tables and fire rings. Vault toilets and potable drinking water are available. The popular Virgin Rim Trail begins just half a mile from camp, and additional hiking and biking trails are easily accessible throughout the area. Nearby Navajo Lake Lodge offers boat rentals, a boat ramp, rustic cabin lodging, and supplies. Cedar Breaks National Monument is a 20-minute drive, featuring hiking trails, guided tours, and the ancient bristlecone pines of the Twisted Forest in the adjacent Ashdown Gorge Wilderness. Bryce Canyon and Zion National Parks are also within reach for day trips.
