About

Navajo Lake Campground occupies a scenic position on the south shore of Navajo Lake within Dixie National Forest. The lake was created years ago by a dike and offers excellent fishing and boating opportunities. Water from the lake travels through a 2-mile lava tube and exits at Cascade Falls, accessible via a 3/4-mile rim trail. The campground provides 27 sites: 12-15 standard single sites, double sites, and 11 walk-in tent-only sites. Each site includes a fire ring and picnic table. Facilities include drinking water spigots, flush toilets, and an accessible vault toilet. A primitive dirt boat launch accommodates smaller vessels. The 32-mile Virgin River Rim Trail passes a short distance from the campground and offers panoramic views of Zion National Park, Virgin River Rim, and Kolob Plateau. The 11-mile Navajo Lake Loop trail is popular with cyclists. Boat rentals, a boat dock, and rustic cabin lodging are available at nearby Navajo Lake Lodge. Cedar Breaks National Monument is 10 miles away.
