About

Wrangle Campground sits at a remote location in the Rogue River-Siskiyou National Forest, accessible via Forest Road 20 along the Siskiyou Crest. Built by the Civilian Conservation Corps and Soil Conservation Service in the 1930s, the campground retains its historic character with a rustic shelter and cabin. The site offers 5 primitive tent campsites, each with a picnic table and fire pit. A community kitchen and vault toilet are available, but campers must bring their own water and pack out all trash. The campground serves as a convenient base for exploring the surrounding wilderness. The Pacific Crest National Scenic Trail passes through Wrangle Gap, less than a mile from the campground, and the Seven Mile Ridge Trail offers additional hiking opportunities. Forest Road 20, known as the Siskiyou Crest Route, provides scenic views along the mountain crest. The lightly-used campground offers solitude in a forested mountain setting, though its remote location and primitive facilities make it best suited for self-sufficient campers.
