About

Harr Point Campground sits on the east shore of Applegate Lake in the Rogue River-Siskiyou National Forest, offering a true backcountry camping experience just minutes from the trailhead. Accessible only by hiking 0.25 miles west along the Payette Trail #970 from Squaw Arm Parking Area or by boat across the lake, this semi-primitive campground rewards visitors with solitude and natural beauty. The campground features 5 tent-only campsites, each equipped with a picnic table and fire pit. A vault toilet is available, but campers must bring all drinking water and pack out all trash. There are no hookups, electricity, or garbage services. The remote nature of this site makes it ideal for those seeking a quieter camping experience away from developed facilities. Boaters should check current lake levels before planning their trip, as water levels fluctuate seasonally and can affect boat access. The campground operates on a first-come, first-served basis with no reservations. Maximum stay is 14 days, and quiet hours are enforced between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m.
