About
Nestled in a grove of Engelmann spruce and other conifers, Woodward Campground provides a shaded basecamp for exploring the Blue Mountains. The campground borders Langdon Lake, which is privately owned and closed to campers, though several sites offer views of the water. All 14 sites include fire pits, picnic tables, and tent pads. The campground is positioned near the North Fork Umatilla Wilderness, offering access to hiking trails and wildlife viewing. Potable water is available until late September, with vault toilets serving the area. The location off Highway 204 between Weston and Elgin makes it accessible while maintaining a forested, peaceful atmosphere. Sites are reservable through Recreation.gov, with some first-come, first-served availability. A 14-day camping limit applies. Firewood must be obtained locally per the Don't Move Firewood initiative, and proper food storage is required.
