Woodland Campground at Turtle River State Park sits in a scenic, forested valley along the meandering Turtle River in Grand Forks County, North Dakota. Built by the Civilian Conservation Corps in the 1930s, the park features 125 total campsites spread across modern and primitive areas. Modern campsites offer electricity and water hookups with mostly pull-through sites shaded by mature trees, while primitive tent sites provide a more rustic back-to-nature experience at $15 per night. The campground serves as a base for exploring over 13 miles of trails that wind through forested hills and along the river corridor. Mountain bikers, hikers, and cross-country skiers enjoy the extensive trail system, while anglers can practice fly fishing techniques in the trout-stocked Turtle River. The park's year-round accessibility makes it popular for winter activities including sledding and snowshoeing. Amenities include clean, heated shower houses with flush toilets, a sewage dump station, playground, amphitheater, and visitor center with interactive displays. The campground also provides access to the historic Keystone Bridge, Woodland Lodge, and CCC Memorial Shelter. With its combination of natural beauty and developed facilities, Woodland Campground offers both convenience and seclusion just 20 miles west of Grand Forks.

From Grand Forks, travel west on Highway 2 for approximately 22 miles to Arvilla. Follow signs to Turtle River State Park; the campground is located within the park.
