About

Woodland Campground is part of Turtle River State Park, a 775-acre recreation area located 22 miles west of Grand Forks in a scenic river valley. The campground is divided into North and South sections, each offering approximately 35 sites with water and 50-amp electric hookups. The North Campground accommodates RVs up to 75 feet, while the South Campground has extended sites exceeding 100 feet. Pull-through sites are available with shade from mature trees. Built by the Civilian Conservation Corps in the 1930s, the park features historic stone and log structures throughout. A central comfort station between the campgrounds provides flush toilets and showers, with an additional vault toilet facility available. Amenities include a dump station near the entrance, playground, visitor center, and the Woodland Lodge for group gatherings. The park offers over 13 miles of trails for hiking and mountain biking through forested hills and along the river. Fishing for rainbow trout is available, and winter brings cross-country skiing and sledding opportunities. Campers can attend special programs at the outdoor amphitheater during peak season.
