Wood Lake Campground offers a quiet, primitive camping experience on the lower Ochlockonee River in the Apalachicola National Forest. The campground features 6 sites set among longleaf pines, each with a picnic table and fire ring. Basic amenities include vault toilets, drinking water from faucets, and trash collection. A boat ramp provides direct river access for canoes, kayaks, and small motorboats. The campground is popular with anglers seeking excellent fishing on the Ochlockonee River and paddlers exploring this scenic blackwater waterway. During hunting season (December through January), Wood Lake serves as a hunt camp and may see increased use from hunters. Sites are available first-come, first-served at $10 per night. Interagency Senior and Access Recreation Pass holders receive a 50% discount on the campsite fee. The campground is accessed via Forest Service Road 338 off Curtis Mills Road, southwest of Sopchoppy.

From Sopchoppy, take Curtis Mills Road southwest. Turn onto Forest Service Road 338 and follow it to the campground entrance on the lower Ochlockonee River.
