About

Ochlockonee River State Park sits where the Ochlockonee River meets the saltwater marshes of Apalachee Bay in Florida's Big Bend region. The 543-acre park features diverse habitats including pine flatwoods, oak thickets, and tidal marshes that support abundant wildlife. The campground provides a comfortable base for exploring this coastal wilderness. The 30-site campground is set among shady oaks and pines, with all sites offering 50-amp electric service, water hookups, fire rings, picnic tables, and clotheslines. Three sites are ADA-accessible. A centrally located comfort station provides flush restrooms, hot showers, an outdoor dish-washing sink, and water fountains. A dump station serves RV campers. Paddlers can launch onto the river for trips through the tidal marshes where manatees, alligators, and wading birds are common. The park also offers fishing, hiking trails through pine flatwoods, and a boat ramp. The surrounding area provides access to additional paddling routes and the nearby St. Marks National Wildlife Refuge.
