About

Ochlockonee River State Park Campground provides 30 full-facility campsites within one of Florida's best-preserved longleaf pine forests along the Ochlockonee River. Each wooded site features 50-amp electrical service, water hookups, a picnic table, fire ring, and clothesline. Three accessible sites are available. The modern comfort station offers restrooms with hot showers, an outdoor sink for washing dishes, and water fountains. A convenient dump station serves RV campers. Maximum RV length is 40 feet. The campground is an ideal base for exploring the park's diverse recreational opportunities. A boat ramp provides direct access to the Ochlockonee, Dead, and Sopchoppy rivers, where both freshwater and saltwater fishing are excellent. An accessible kayak launch accommodates paddlers exploring miles of tidal creeks and rivers. Two designated nature trails wind through pine flatwoods and sandhill communities, home to rare red-cockaded woodpeckers, gopher tortoises, and black bears. A swimming area is located on the Dead River in the day-use area. The campground features a campfire circle behind site 13 where park staff conduct interpretive programs throughout the year.
