About

Mack Landing Campground sits on a ridge overlooking the Ochlockonee River in Florida's Apalachicola National Forest. This small, quiet campground provides direct river access via a concrete boat ramp, making it popular with boaters and anglers. The campground accommodates both tent campers and RVs, though no hookups are available. Amenities include drinking water from faucets, vault toilets, and picnic tables at the sites. Fishing requires a valid Florida state license. The campground operates year-round with quiet hours from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. A campground host is present from October through March. During general gun season, Mack Landing serves as a hunt camp and the standard 14-day camping limit is suspended. Non-hunters are welcome to camp during hunting season but should be aware of the active hunting environment in the surrounding forest.
