About

Wishon Campground occupies a scenic location at 4,000 feet elevation where the Tule River and Hossack Creek converge within the Giant Sequoia National Monument. The 35-site campground provides a mix of single and double family units spread across the Front Entrance, Main Loop, and Doubles Spur areas, with seven sites and a rental cabin positioned on the river's west side. Amenities include multiple vault toilets, potable water from faucets, picnic tables, and BBQ stoves at each site. Five sites have bear boxes for food storage. The maximum RV length is 24 feet due to natural surface roads. Fishing is available year-round on the Tule River drainage, and visitors should exercise caution around swift water and slippery rocks. The adjacent Doyle Springs Trailhead provides access to two giant sequoia groves and connects to Mountain Home State Forest. A self-guided nature trail is also available on site. Six additional sequoia groves in the area include Wishon, Silver Creek, Burro, Maggie Mountain, Middle Tule, and Upper Tule.

Directions

From Highway 99, take Highway 190 east through Springville to Wishon Drive/M208. Turn left on Wishon Drive and travel approximately 4 miles. The campground entrance is on the right as the road curves toward Doyle Springs.
