About

Holey Meadow Group Campground sits at 6,400 feet elevation in the Giant Sequoia National Monument, southeast of Porterville in the Sequoia National Forest. This primitive, tent-only campground offers 10 individual campsites with picnic tables and fire rings, vault toilets, and no potable water. The remote location provides access to spectacular hiking opportunities through giant sequoia groves, including the nearby wheelchair-accessible Trail of a Hundred Giants. Trails wind through the Redwood and Long Meadow sequoia groves, up mountains, and alongside wild rivers. The campground is accessible via a combination of paved and narrow dirt roads, suitable for small RVs up to 16 feet long, though the facility is designated tent-only. This is bear country, and campers must take appropriate food storage precautions. Off-road vehicles are not allowed, and bicycles are prohibited in nearby wilderness areas. The campground operates under a concessionaire permit with ExplorUS Hospitality Management and requires a campfire permit for all fires, barbeques, and camp stoves. The nearest supplies are available at R-Ranch.
