About

Holey Meadow Group Campground occupies a quiet spot at 6,400 feet elevation in the Giant Sequoia National Monument, within the Western Divide Ranger District of Sequoia National Forest. This primitive tent-only facility accommodates groups seeking a backcountry experience without hookups or developed water systems. Each site includes a picnic table and fire ring, with vault toilets available in the campground. The campground sits along a paved and narrow dirt access road approximately 60 miles southeast of Porterville. Nearby attractions include the Trail of a Hundred Giants, an accessible boardwalk through a magnificent sequoia grove, as well as hiking trails through Redwood and Long Meadow groves. Supplies are available at Ponderosa Lodge and R-Ranch. This is bear country, so proper food storage is essential. Campers must bring all drinking water and be prepared for the remote setting with limited services. The campground operates under a concessionaire permit with Rocky Mountain Recreation.
