About

Wind Creek State Park operates one of the largest state-owned campgrounds in the United States, spanning 1,444 acres along the scenic shoreline of Lake Martin. The park serves as the primary public access point to the 44,000-acre lake and offers exceptional fishing for crappie, bluegill, and striped bass. All 586 campsites include water and electrical hookups, with 157 sites offering waterfront access and 268 sites featuring full sewer connections. The campground features 39 recently renovated premium sites with 16-foot-wide, 60-foot-long concrete pads, 50 or 30-amp electrical service, water, sewer, waterfront access, and TV service. Bathhouses are distributed throughout the campground, and two laundry facilities are available at the marina and B-1 bathhouse. The park also offers seven air-conditioned camping cabins, glamping safari tents, lakeside cottages, and 20 first-come, first-served equestrian camping sites. Beyond camping, Wind Creek provides diverse recreation including a full-service marina with boat rentals, zipline canopy tours, an archery range, putt-putt golf course, guided horseback rides through Rockin' K, swimming beach, hiking and biking trails, and picnic pavilions. The on-site Creem@The Creek restaurant offers dining without leaving the park. Senior citizens 62+, veterans, active military, and guests with disabilities receive a 15% discount on overnight accommodations.
