About
Veasey Creek Park is a day-use recreation area managed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, located on West Point Lake in Chambers County, Alabama. The park is designed for boaters and picnickers seeking quick access to Veasey Creek and Stroud Creek for fishing. Facilities include a boat launch with courtesy dock, two group picnic shelters (one with electric hookup, one without), and numerous individual picnic sites. The group shelters are available for reservation through Recreation.gov, while individual picnic sites and parking operate on a first-come-first-served basis. This is not an overnight campground. The site is unstaffed, with the main office available by phone for general inquiries. Pets must be leashed (6 feet or less) and life jackets are required for water activities.
Directions
Take Alabama County Road 266 approximately six miles north of West Point to the T-intersection. Turn left and watch for Veasey Creek Park signs. Turn right and follow the road to the boat ramp then turn left. The shelter is on the right.
