About
Willow Campground sits at approximately 9,000 feet elevation in the Eastern Sierra along the South Fork of Bishop Creek, about 5 miles below South Lake. The small campground features 8 tent-only sites shaded by mature aspen trees with willows lining the creek banks. This intimate setting provides excellent access to fishing and hiking opportunities in the Bishop Creek drainage. The campground offers basic amenities including vault toilets, picnic tables at each site, and bear-resistant food storage boxes which are mandatory for all food and scented items. There is no potable water; campers must treat or filter water from nearby sources or bring their own. Trailers and RVs are strictly prohibited due to the small site sizes and access limitations. Sites are available first-come, first-served with no advance reservations. Campers register and pay at the campground. The maximum stay is 7 days, and quiet hours are enforced from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. Leashed dogs are permitted.
Directions
From Bishop, head west on State Route 168 (Line Street) for approximately 15 miles. Turn left onto South Lake Road. The campground is on the left approximately 4 miles past Four Jeffrey Campground.
