About

Willow Campground is nestled at 8,600 feet elevation in the Libby Creek Recreation Area of Medicine Bow National Forest, just off Wyoming's scenic Highway 130. The campground provides 16 campsites designed for tents and small trailers under 22 feet, each equipped with a picnic table and fire grate. A single vault toilet serves the campground, and a hand pump provides potable water typically from July through September, though availability varies with weather and maintenance. The setting along Libby Creek offers excellent fishing opportunities, and nearby Barber Lake provides additional recreation. The Snowy Range Scenic Byway delivers stunning alpine scenery en route to the campground. Sites accommodate up to 8 people and 2 vehicles, with quiet hours from 10 p.m. to 8 a.m. Check-in is after 2 p.m. and checkout by 1 p.m., with a maximum 14-day stay limit. Campers should bring their own water supply as a backup, since the seasonal pump may be offline for testing or maintenance. The campground operates with a combination of reservation sites available through Recreation.gov and first-come, first-served sites.
