About

Libby Creek Willow Campground is located in the Libby Recreation Area along the Snowy Range Scenic Byway in the Medicine Bow-Routt National Forest at 8,600 feet elevation. The campground sits beside Libby Creek, which flows down from Libby Lake, providing a scenic mountain setting in southeastern Wyoming. Access is via Forest Road 351 (Barber Lake Road), located two miles northwest of the town of Centennial. The campground features 16 campsites designed to accommodate trailers under 22 feet in length. Each site includes a picnic table, campfire ring, and pedestal grill. Vault toilets are provided, and potable water is typically available from July to September, though dates may vary due to weather conditions, well maintenance, and water testing requirements. The campground operates with a mix of reservation and first-come, first-served sites, with reservations available through Recreation.gov. Recreation opportunities include fishing at Libby Creek and nearby Barber Lake Picnic Site, which features a retention pond typically stocked with rainbow trout during summer months. The Corner Mountain Trail system is accessible from the area, offering additional hiking opportunities. The campground charges $20 per night with a 14-day maximum consecutive stay limit and allows up to 8 people per site.
