Situated along the scenic Snowy Range Scenic Byway in the Libby Creek Recreation Area, Pine Campground offers an intimate mountain camping experience with just 6 first-come, first-served sites. Located at 8,600 feet elevation beside Libby Creek, the campground provides a peaceful setting for campers seeking a quieter alternative to larger facilities. The campground serves as a convenient base for exploring the area's recreational opportunities. Anglers can fish in Libby Creek or visit nearby Barber Lake Picnic Site, where a retention pond is typically stocked with Rainbow Trout during summer months. Hikers have access to the trail system from Corner Mountain Trailhead. The location along the Snowy Range Scenic Byway makes it easy to explore the surrounding Medicine Bow National Forest. As a rustic campground, Pine offers basic amenities including vault toilets. Sites typically include picnic tables and fire rings. Due to its high elevation location, the campground operates seasonally when snow conditions permit access along Highway 130.

Directions

From Laramie, take Highway 130 west approximately 30 miles to the Forest Boundary near Centennial, then continue 0.5 miles west to Barber Lake Road on the south side of the highway. Pine Campground is on the right.
