This campground has been permanently decommissioned and is closed to overnight camping. Fishing access to Libby Creek remains available at the site.
About
Spruce Campground was once a developed camping area in the Libby Creek Recreation Area, situated along Wyoming's scenic Highway 130 (Snowy Range Scenic Byway) west of Centennial. The campground has been decommissioned by the Forest Service and is no longer open for overnight camping. While camping is no longer permitted at this location, the area still offers recreational value. Fishing access to Libby Creek remains available for anglers. The site is located approximately one mile west of the Forest boundary near Centennial, on the south side of the Snowy Range Highway, beyond Forest Road 351 (Barber Lake Road). Campers seeking overnight accommodations in this area should consider nearby alternatives in the Libby Creek Recreation Area or other campgrounds along the Snowy Range Scenic Byway managed by Medicine Bow-Routt National Forests.
Directions
From Laramie, take WY 130 west to the Forest Boundary near Centennial, then travel 1 mile west to the Libby Creek Recreation Area on the south side of Snowy Range Highway. Spruce Campground is on the left, beyond Forest Road 351 (Barber Lake Road).
