About
Located at 9,200 feet elevation in the Snowy Range area of Medicine Bow National Forest, North Fork Campground is a large, RV-friendly facility popular for camping, fishing, hiking, and mountain biking. The campground features 60 total sites arranged in two sections, with 10 sites situated directly along the banks of the North Fork of the Little Laramie River. The sound of the river can be heard throughout most of the campground. The facility sits in a thick forest of lodgepole pine and spruce and offers spacious sites with extra-large parking pads to accommodate even the largest RVs. Each campsite includes a picnic table and fire ring with grill. Mountain bikers and hikers have direct access to the scenic North Fork Trail #390 from the campground. Anglers can fish for trout in the clear mountain waters of the North Fork of the Little Laramie River. The campground offers a mix of reservable and first-come, first-served sites. Vault toilets are provided throughout the campground, and potable water is typically available seasonally from hand pumps at select sites from July through September, though dates may vary due to weather and maintenance. The nearby Snowy Range Scenic Byway (Highway 130) and North Fork Overlook provide additional sightseeing opportunities.
Directions
From Centennial, Wyoming, take State Highway 130 west for 3.7 miles to Sand Lake Road/Forest Road 101. Turn right and drive 1.7 miles to the campground on the left.
