About

Pine Campground is a small but pleasant campground located along the banks of Libby Creek in the Libby Creek Recreation Area, just off the Snowy Range Scenic Byway in Medicine Bow-Routt National Forest. At an elevation of 8,600 feet, this intimate campground features 6 sites that provide a peaceful setting for campers seeking a quieter alternative to larger campgrounds in the area. Sites are equipped with picnic tables and fire rings, and can accommodate trailers and vehicles with a combined length of 30 to 45 feet. The campground provides vault toilet facilities, trash collection, and a hand pump for water (typically available July through September, though dates may vary due to weather and maintenance). No hookups are available. Recreation opportunities include fishing in Libby Creek, which flows down from Libby Lake, and access to trails from the nearby Corner Mountain Trailhead. Further down Barber Lake Road is Barber Lake Picnic Site, which features a retention pond that is stocked with rainbow trout in summer months when water levels permit. The campground operates on a first-come, first-served basis with a 14-day maximum stay.
