* WHAT...Snow. Snow accumulations of 10 to 18 inches above 7000 feet. At Lake Tahoe level, 3 to 6 inches, with 6 to 12 inches along and west of Highway 89. Wind gusts up to 35 mph, with gusts reaching 75 mph along the Sierra crest. Wave heights 1 to 3 feet on Lake Tahoe. * WHERE...Greater Lake Tahoe Area. * WHEN...From 10 PM Monday to 4 PM PST Wednesday. * IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult. The hazardous conditions could impact the Tuesday morning and evening commutes, as well as the Wednesday morning commute. Gusty winds could bring down tree branches. Small boats, kayaks and paddle boards will be prone to capsizing and should remain off lake waters until conditions improve.

William Kent Campground is conveniently located on Lake Tahoe's west shore, approximately 2 miles south of Tahoe City along California Highway 89. The campground straddles the busy highway and features over 80 campsites surrounded by tall pine, cedar, and fir trees. Many sites are secluded with evergreen shrubs, and the terrain's shallow gullies and low ridges help separate neighboring sites. The campground also offers yurt accommodations with futons and bunk beds on wooden platforms. Across the street from the campground is a popular day-use area providing direct access to Lake Tahoe's 22-mile expanse. The lake offers swimming, boating, water skiing, and fishing for kokanee salmon, mackinaw, rainbow, and brown trout. The campground serves as an ideal basecamp for cyclists, with bike trails traversing the western shores of Lake Tahoe beginning near the campground. The residential area setting means amenities and services are within walking distance, and Tahoe City is just minutes away.
