About

Kaspian Campground is a small, intimate tent-only campground on the west shore of Lake Tahoe within the Lake Tahoe Basin Management Unit. Located just 4 miles south of Tahoe City on Highway 89, the campground features 9 single-family walk-to sites spread through a mature forest of ponderosa pine and white fir trees. Some sites offer views of the lake through the trees. The campground is ideal for visitors planning water activities or biking around Lake Tahoe. Bike trails traversing the western shores begin near the campground, and the lake's sandy beaches are just minutes away for swimming, kayaking, and other water sports. Meeks Bay is less than 10 miles away. Each site includes a picnic table and campfire ring with grill. The campground provides flush toilets, drinking water, and trash collection. Bears frequent the area, so proper food storage is required. Pets are limited to two per site and are not allowed on beaches. Campers are limited to 14 calendar days per year across all Lake Tahoe Basin campgrounds.
