* WHAT...Snow. Snow accumulations of 10 to 18 inches above 7000 feet. At Lake Tahoe level, 3 to 6 inches, with 6 to 12 inches along and west of Highway 89. Wind gusts up to 35 mph, with gusts reaching 75 mph along the Sierra crest. Wave heights 1 to 3 feet on Lake Tahoe. * WHERE...Greater Lake Tahoe Area. * WHEN...From 10 PM Monday to 4 PM PST Wednesday. * IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult. The hazardous conditions could impact the Tuesday morning and evening commutes, as well as the Wednesday morning commute. Gusty winds could bring down tree branches. Small boats, kayaks and paddle boards will be prone to capsizing and should remain off lake waters until conditions improve.

About
Kaspian Campground is located in a mature forest of pine trees overlooking the beautiful Lake Tahoe, four miles south of Tahoe City on Highway 89. The campground is nestled in a former picnic area across the street from the lake, offering 9 tent-only walk-in campsites spaced for privacy among tall ponderosa pine and white fir trees. Some sites provide spectacular views of Lake Tahoe through the trees. The campground is ideal for visitors planning outdoor activities on Lake Tahoe's west shore. Bike trails that traverse the western shores of the lake begin near the campground, making it a perfect base for cycling around Lake Tahoe. The bright blue water of Lake Tahoe and its sandy beaches are just minutes away, providing ample opportunities for swimming, water sports, kayaking, and relaxing on the shore. Popular Meeks Bay is less than 10 miles away. As a tent-only facility, all sites are walk-in with parking available in a central lot. Each campsite is equipped with a picnic table and campfire ring with grill. The campground provides accessible flush toilets, drinking water, and trash collection during the operating season. Managed by Tahoe Recreation, a Division of Vista Recreation, under special use permit from the Lake Tahoe Basin Management Unit.
