Wildhorse Meadow Dispersed Camping

Open

Open seasonally beginning in May. First-come, first-served; no reservations. No potable water available; campers must bring their own water and pack out all trash.

About

Wildhorse Meadow Dispersed Camping provides a secluded retreat in the mountainous terrain of the Rogue River-Siskiyou National Forest near Gold Beach, Oregon. The area features three primitive campsites nestled in a forested meadow setting, each equipped with a picnic table and fire pit. A pit toilet is available on-site. This is a pack-it-in, pack-it-out campground with no drinking water, trash services, or campground host. Campers should come fully prepared with their own water supply and plan to remove all waste. Campfires are permitted only in the developed fire pits, and quiet hours are enforced between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m. The remote location offers excellent stargazing opportunities and cool mountain breezes during hot summer days. Dogs are welcome but must be kept on leash, and OHV/ATV use is prohibited within the campground. Maximum stay is 14 days.
