Wild River Equestrian Campground sits within Wild River State Park in Chisago County, Minnesota, along 18 miles of the St. Croix National Scenic Riverway. The campground caters specifically to equestrian campers, providing 20 sites with amenities tailored to horse camping. Fifteen sites offer electric hookups for an additional fee, while all sites include a fire ring with grill, picnic table, and hitching rail or high line for horses. The park features 20 miles of designated horse trails with terrain ranging from easy rides to more challenging routes for experienced equestrians. Fresh drinking water stations are available in the campground, along with primitive vault toilets and manure bins for waste disposal. RVs and trailers up to 60 feet in length are permitted, and generators may be operated between 8:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m. Reservations open 120 days in advance through the Minnesota DNR reservation system online or by calling 866-857-2757. An $8 non-refundable reservation fee applies to online bookings. Each campsite accommodates one horse trailer or tent with a maximum of six people.

From I-35, take exit 147 for MN-95 toward North Branch. Head east on MN-95 for approximately 15 miles. Turn left onto Park Trail and continue for about 3 miles to reach the park entrance. Follow signs to the Equestrian Campground.
