About

Interstate North Campground sits within Interstate State Park, Wisconsin's oldest state park dating back to 1900, along the picturesque St. Croix National Scenic Riverway. The campground is part of a two-campground system offering a total of 82 family campsites across the park. North Campground provides a seasonal camping experience with modern conveniences including shower facilities available exclusively for registered campers. The park is renowned for its geological features, including ancient glacial potholes and the steep-sided gorge known as the Dalles of the St. Croix. Campers have access to diverse hiking trails that showcase scenic views of the river and surrounding landscape. A dump station is conveniently located across from the Ice Age Center for RV campers. Reservations are required for all campsites and can be made up to 11 months in advance through the Wisconsin State Park reservation system. The campground operates seasonally from May through October, while the park's south campground remains open year-round for winter camping. Firewood is available for purchase at the Ice Age Interpretive Center or through vending machines when the center is closed.
