Interstate Group Campground provides primitive group camping within Interstate State Park, Wisconsin's oldest state park established in 1900. Situated along the St. Croix National Scenic Riverway, the park features the dramatic Dalles of the St. Croix, a steep-sided gorge carved by glacial meltwater. The two group sites can accommodate up to 60 people combined and include fire rings and picnic tables. The campground operates year-round, with winter plowing providing drive-up access during colder months. Water is available at the Ice Age Interpretive Center when open, and a dump station is located across the road from the center. Registered campers can access shower facilities at the nearby North Campground. Reservations are required and can be made up to 11 months in advance through wisconsin.goingtocamp.com or by phone. The park offers extensive recreational opportunities including hiking trails showcasing glacial potholes, rock climbing, kayaking on the St. Croix River, and exploring the Ice Age Interpretive Center.

Directions

From St. Croix Falls, head south on US Highway 8. The park entrance is located on the west side of the highway. Follow signs to the group camping area.
