About

Wild River State Park's camper cabins provide a comfortable year-round camping experience along the scenic St. Croix River in east-central Minnesota. The park features six rustic, one-room cabins measuring 12x16 feet, each equipped with wooden bunkbeds with mattresses, a table, benches, heat, and electricity. Most cabins include a screened porch, and all have outdoor picnic tables and fire rings with grates for outdoor cooking. These cabins accommodate up to six people and are located in or near the park's main campground, where seasonal restrooms, showers, and drinking water are available. Primitive toilets remain accessible year-round. Guests must bring their own bedding, towels, and cooking equipment. Only outdoor cooking is permitted, with exceptions for crockpots and coffeepots. The cabins do not have indoor plumbing or kitchen facilities. Wild River State Park spans 18 miles along the St. Croix River, offering opportunities for hiking, canoeing, horseback riding, cross-country skiing, and snowshoeing. The park's 35-mile trail system and diverse wildlife make it a popular destination for outdoor enthusiasts seeking a balance between rustic camping and basic amenities.
