About

Wild River State Park's camper cabins offer an ideal basecamp for exploring 18 miles of undeveloped St. Croix River shoreline in east-central Minnesota. The six wooden cabins sleep five to six guests on bunk beds with mattresses, and include a table, benches, electricity, and heat. Most cabins feature screened porches. While there's no indoor plumbing, each cabin has a fire ring with cooking grate and picnic table outside. The cabins are situated in or near the park's main campground, providing access to seasonal shower and restroom buildings with flush toilets from approximately mid-April through mid-November. Year-round primitive toilets are available nearby. The park offers extensive recreational opportunities including hiking, horseback riding, canoeing, cross-country skiing, and winter wildlife viewing for bald eagles and trumpeter swans. Two of the six cabins are ADA-accessible and accommodate up to five guests; the remaining four cabins sleep six. Indoor cooking is limited to crockpots and coffeepots only. Reservations can be made up to 120 days in advance through the Minnesota DNR reservation system.
