Interstate State Park Campground sits along the beautiful St. Croix River in Taylors Falls, offering visitors a combination of natural beauty and modern conveniences. The campground features 37 sites that accommodate both tent campers and RVs up to 45 feet in length. 22 sites provide electrical hookups for those requiring power. Modern facilities include a shower house with flush toilets and hot showers, and a dump station for RV waste disposal. Each campsite comes equipped with a picnic table and fire ring with grill, providing the essentials for an enjoyable camping experience. The campground's location within the state park grants easy access to 4 miles of hiking trails, including routes that showcase the park's famous glacial potholes and dramatic cliffs of the St. Croix River Dalles. The park offers diverse recreational opportunities including rock climbing, canoeing, kayaking on river rapids, fishing, and wildlife viewing. The campground operates seasonally from April through October. During peak season, reservations are available through the Minnesota State Parks reservation system. In the off-season, the park may offer first-come, first-served camping opportunities when conditions allow.

Directions

From the south, take I-35 north to the Taylors Falls exit onto Highway 8 East. Follow Highway 8 for approximately 22 miles. The park entrance is located on the right-hand side of the road, one mile before downtown Taylors Falls.
