About

Interstate State Park Campground provides a wooded retreat on the Minnesota side of the St. Croix River in Taylors Falls. The campground has 37 single-family sites split between north and south loops, with 22 sites offering 30/50-amp electric hookups. The north campground features hot showers and flush toilets, while the south campground has more rustic facilities. The park is famous for its geological features, particularly the glacial potholes, deep cylindrical holes carved into volcanic basalt by debris-laden glacial meltwater over 10,000 years ago. The St. Croix River Dalles offer dramatic basalt cliffs rising from the river, popular with rock climbers and sightseers. Visitors can canoe the calm stretches, watch kayakers navigate the rapids, or take an excursion boat tour through the dalles. Reservations are made through the ReserveMN system up to 120 days in advance. A Minnesota state park vehicle permit is required for entry.
