About

Whitten Park Campground, also known as Fulton Campground, is an Army Corps of Engineers facility located on the Tennessee-Tombigbee Waterway in Fulton, Mississippi. The campground features 60 sites with electric and water hookups spread across three loops, each providing convenient access to showers and playgrounds. The facility is a popular destination for fishing, swimming, and water-based recreation. The campground offers direct access to three boat docks, making it ideal for anglers pursuing bass and crappie on the waterway. A sandy swimming beach with an overlook gazebo provides a scenic spot for families. Nature trails wind through wooded areas with wildlife viewing opportunities. The Tennessee-Tombigbee Waterway extends 234 miles from the Tennessee River to the Tombigbee River in Alabama, creating a major commercial water route to the Gulf of Mexico with ten locks and dams along its length. The campground operates seasonally from March through December, with some loops closing earlier in winter for renovations. Reservations are required through Recreation.gov. The park is located within the Jamie L. Whitten Historical Center Park and is just 15 miles from Tupelo, birthplace of Elvis Presley. Golf carts and ATVs are prohibited, and all vehicles must be street legal.

Directions

From Interstate 22, take Highway 25 (exit 104). Turn left at the first red light, then turn left onto Access Road at the next traffic light. Go north 4 miles. Campground is on the left side of the road within the Jamie L. Whitten Historical Center Park.
