The Tennessee-Tombigbee Waterway extends 234 miles from the Tennessee River to the junction of the Tombigbee River in Alabama, representing the largest earth-moving project in history. The waterway system includes 180,000 acres of public land with various recreational opportunities. This location is unstaffed. The nearby Jamie L. Whitten Campground offers overnight camping options for those seeking to stay in the area.
