About
Piney Grove Campground is located on Bay Springs Lake along the Tennessee-Tombigbee Waterway in northeastern Mississippi. The campground offers 141 electric hookup sites, each equipped with a lantern post, impact pad, campfire ring, and picnic table. The facility includes a playground and two multi-use courts for recreation. Bay Springs Lake provides excellent opportunities for boating, fishing, swimming, hiking, and biking. Piney Grove Beach is within walking or biking distance of the campground. The Tennessee-Tombigbee Waterway extends 234 miles from the Tennessee River to the Tombigbee River in Alabama, creating 180,000 acres of public land to explore. The campground operates with seasonal closures. Loops 2 and 3 (sites 55-139) close from November 15 through March 1, while Loop 1 (sites 3-54) remains open year-round. Reservations are required and can be made through Recreation.gov. Check-in is at 4:00 p.m. and check-out is at 3:00 p.m.
Directions
From Highway 45 near Booneville, take Highway 30 East for 15 miles to Burton. Turn right on CR 3501 and follow for 3 miles, then turn left on CR 3550 at the sign for Piney Grove Recreation Area. Continue straight for 3 miles to reach the campground.
