About

Piney Grove Campground occupies a scenic peninsula on Bay Springs Lake, part of the Tennessee-Tombigbee Waterway managed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. The nine-mile lake provides outstanding opportunities for boating, fishing, and swimming. Piney Grove Beach is within walking or biking distance, and Old Bridge Beach is also nearby. The campground has 141 sites spread across three loops, each equipped with electric and water hookups, a fire ring, picnic table, lantern post, and impact pad. Facilities include flush restrooms, hot showers, a dump station, laundry, drinking water, a playground, two multi-use courts, picnic shelters, a boat ramp, and an amphitheater. Some sites accommodate RVs up to 62 feet. The Tennessee-Tombigbee Waterway extends 234 miles from the Tennessee River to the Tombigbee River in Alabama, connecting the nation's midsection with the Gulf of Mexico. The Tenn-Tom is the largest earth-moving project in history, with 180,000 acres of public land for outdoor recreation.
