Piney Grove Beach Picnic Shelter is a day-use group facility operated by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers along the Tennessee-Tombigbee Waterway at Bay Springs Lake. The shelter provides a shaded lakefront setting ideal for group gatherings, family reunions, or picnics. Amenities include a covered pavilion with 4 picnic tables, 4 large grills, trash bins, and electric hookup. The facility offers direct access to an accessible swimming beach, plus nearby volleyball and basketball courts. Fishing is available along the shoreline. Operating hours run from 9am to 8pm, and a day-use fee is required upon arrival. The shelter can be reserved through Recreation.gov for exclusive group use. For overnight camping, the adjacent Piney Grove Campground offers 141 campsites with electric hookups, fire rings, and picnic tables within walking distance of the beach.
