Falling below 25% by early afternoon. * Temperatures... 30s to 40s. * Impacts... With elevated winds and low relative humidities, extremely dangerous fire weather conditions are possible.

Whitetail Ridge Campground is a waterfront facility operated by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers on the western shore of West Point Lake, which spans 35 miles along the Chattahoochee River on the Alabama-Georgia state line. The forested campground overlooks the 25,900-acre lake and offers 58 campsites, all equipped with electric and water hookups. Campground amenities include hot showers, laundry facilities, and a dump station. Gates are locked from 10:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. and check-in is guaranteed after 4:00 p.m. with checkout at 3:00 p.m. Each campsite has a four-vehicle limit including trailers. West Point Lake provides exceptional recreational opportunities with 525 miles of shoreline and 34 public boat ramps. The lake is renowned for bass, catfish, crappie, and bream fishing, with multiple public fishing piers available. The surrounding landscape features rolling fields and deep forests with excellent fall foliage, plus trails suitable for hiking and mountain biking. A nearly 10,000-acre wildlife management area at the upper end of the lake offers hunting opportunities.
Directions
From LaGrange, Georgia, travel west on State Route 109 for about 7 miles. After crossing the first bridge across the lake, travel approximately one more mile, then turn left onto Thompson Road. After a mile, bear left and watch for the sign.
