Facilities include a boat launch with trailer parking, picnic sites, and two group shelters that accommodate up to 30 people each and can be reserved through Recreation.gov. The shelters are non-electric and are popular for gatherings, though large events may require a special event permit. The park is unstaffed and operates on a self-service basis. Day-use fees apply for boat launching ($5), and parking is first-come, first-served. Pets are permitted on leashes under six feet, and alcohol is allowed. Horace King Park is easily accessible from LaGrange via Georgia Highway 109, approximately seven miles west of town. The park provides a convenient launching point for fishing, boating, and water recreation on West Point Lake's 25,900 acres.
