About

Glass Bridge Park, managed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, is a day-use recreation facility located on the shoreline of West Point Lake. The lake extends 35 miles along the Chattahoochee River on the Alabama-Georgia state line and has 525 miles of shoreline. The park offers year-round boat launching facilities, making it a popular destination for boating and fishing enthusiasts. The park features a reservable group shelter that accommodates up to 18 people and is situated near the shoreline with easy access for bank fishing. The shelter includes three picnic tables, grills, and nearby restrooms. Parking is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Pets are allowed on leashes up to six feet in length. This location is unstaffed and primarily serves as a day-use area rather than an overnight campground. The group shelter is available for reservation through Recreation.gov with a check-in time of 9:00 AM and check-out time of 9:00 PM. Large events such as weddings or fishing tournaments may require a Special Event Permit in addition to the shelter reservation.

Directions

From LaGrange, turn onto US-29 heading west for approximately 4.5 miles, watch for park sign, turn right onto Glass Bridge Road, drive approximately 3.5 miles to arrive at the park.
