About

McGee Bridge Park is a day-use recreation area situated on West Point Lake near LaGrange, Georgia. Managed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, the park provides convenient access to one of the lake's three fishing piers, making it a popular destination for anglers. The pier is accessible to persons with disabilities. The park features picnic areas and a reservable group shelter that accommodates up to 30 people, ideal for family gatherings or group events. A boat launch facility provides access to West Point Lake for boating and fishing. The location is unstaffed; parking and picnic areas operate on a first-come, first-served basis while the group shelter can be reserved. Note: McGee Bridge Park does not offer overnight camping. Visitors seeking campgrounds on West Point Lake should consider nearby USACE facilities such as R Shaefer Heard Campground, Holiday Campground, or Whitetail Ridge Campground.

Take Route 109 approximately 1.5 miles west of West Point Road. Turn right onto Vernon Ferry Road and bear right onto Old Roanoke Road in half a mile. In one mile, turn right into the park; the shelter is on the right near the fishing pier.
