About

White Cliffs Campground is located on the east bank of the Little River feeding into Millwood Lake in southwest Arkansas. This Army Corps of Engineers park provides modern camping facilities in a peaceful setting ideal for anglers and outdoor enthusiasts. Millwood Lake is recognized as one of the top fishing lakes in the country, with approximately 20,000 acres of submerged timber creating excellent fish habitat for largemouth, white striped and spotted bass, channel and flathead catfish, bluegill, sunfish, buffalo carp, and drum. The campground is within walking distance of White Cliffs Natural Area, which features a striking 100-foot high chalk bluff overlooking the Little River. This natural area contains the largest and least disturbed Arkansas occurrences of chalk woodland. A nature trail meanders through the unique topography characterized by knolls, ridges, and ravines, offering visitors a chance to explore this distinctive ecosystem. The area provides diverse fish and wildlife habitat, making it popular for fishing, duck hunting, and nature observation. The campground offers modern amenities including flush toilets, showers, a dump station, boat ramp, bank fishing access, playground, and fish cleaning station. Located six miles south of Cowlingsville on State Highway 317, the park is convenient to Ashdown and Nashville, Arkansas, as well as Texarkana, Texas.
