Dierks Lake Overlook
The group shelter is open for reservations. This is a group pavilion facility, not a traditional campground with individual overnight campsites.
About
Dierks Lake Overlook is a group pavilion facility operated by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers at Dierks Lake in Howard County, Arkansas. The site features an electric group shelter designed for gatherings, reunions, and group events rather than individual family camping. The pavilion can be reserved through Recreation.gov at $40 per night. Dierks Lake is a 1,360-acre reservoir in the Ouachita Mountain foothills of southwest Arkansas, offering fishing for largemouth bass, channel catfish, and crappie, along with boating and swimming opportunities. The Overlook location provides scenic views of the lake from its elevated position. For traditional overnight camping with individual sites, hookups, showers, and full campground amenities, visitors should consider the nearby Blue Ridge Park, Jefferson Ridge, or Horseshoe Bend campgrounds also located at Dierks Lake.
Directions
From Dierks, Arkansas, drive west on Highway 70 for 3 miles to Lake Road. Turn right on Lake Road and continue for 4 miles to reach the Overlook.
