About
Paraloma Park is a U.S. Army Corps of Engineers campground located in the small community of Paraloma on the north shore of Millwood Lake. The 30-site campground sits in a secluded, flat lowland area with dense timber and provides direct access to one of the nation's top fishing lakes.
All 30 sites are paved and equipped with water and electric hookups. The campground offers flush toilets, hot showers, and a dump station for RV campers. Additional amenities include a boat ramp, playground, and fishing pier. Most campsites provide views of Millwood Lake, making this an ideal base for extended fishing trips.
Millwood Lake is renowned for its fishing opportunities, with approximately 20,000 acres of submerged timber providing exceptional habitat for a wide variety of species. Anglers target largemouth, white striped, and spotted bass, along with channel and flathead catfish, bluegill, sunfish, crappie, and drum. The area is particularly known as a catfishing hotspot and attracts many visitors during spring and early fall. Duck hunting is also popular in this area, which offers diverse fish and wildlife habitat throughout the surrounding marshes and oxbow cutoffs. Alligators are present in Millwood Lake.
