Beard's Lake Park is a small, peaceful U.S. Army Corps of Engineers campground located on Beard's Lake, an oxbow lake adjacent to the Little River below Millwood Dam in southwest Arkansas. The park offers 5 paved campsites with water and electric hookups, plus 3 tent-only sites. Flush toilets are available on-site, while shower facilities and a dump station are provided at Beard's Bluff Park, located one mile northeast. The park is situated in one of the most unique and diverse habitats in the southern United States, with open fields, swampy grasslands, thick hardwood forests, and abundant fresh water. Millwood Lake is recognized as one of the top fishing lakes in the country, with approximately 20,000 acres of submerged timber providing excellent habitat for a wide variety of fish including crappie, largemouth bass, white bass, striped bass, spotted bass, channel catfish, flathead catfish, bluegill, sunfish, buffalo carp, and drum.
