About
Whiskey Gulch Campground sits on the shores of Glendo Reservoir in eastern Wyoming, approximately one mile east of the main park fee booth off Glendo Park Road. The campground winds through a mature stand of cottonwood and willow trees, providing welcome shade for most campsites. Sites 11 through 13 and 23 through 25 are exceptions, offering full sun for those who prefer it. The campground is especially popular with boaters thanks to its high and low water boat ramps and courtesy dock, which provide reliable lake access throughout the season regardless of fluctuating reservoir levels. During high water periods, the flooded willows and cottonwoods create excellent habitat for kayaking, canoeing, and fishing near shore. Facilities include three vault toilets, drinking water, and two day-use group shelters available for reservation. Three ADA-accessible camping pads accommodate visitors with mobility needs. Reservations are required from May 15 through September 15; outside this window, all sites are first-come, first-served. Note that Stage 1 fire restrictions currently prohibit wood-burning fires, though propane grills and charcoal grills with lids are permitted.
