About

Whiskey Gulch Campground is a large lakeside campground located at Glendo State Park, approximately 1 mile east of the main fee booth on Glendo Park Road. The campground winds through a stand of cottonwoods along the reservoir shore and is popular with boaters due to its reliable year-round water access from high and low water boat ramps. Most campsites offer at least partial shade, with exceptions being sites 11-13 and 23-25, which lack tree cover. During high water periods, the lowest cottonwoods and willows flood, creating excellent conditions for kayaking, canoeing, and fishing. The campground provides good access for water-based recreation throughout the summer. On the western end sits the Whiskey Gulch Group Shelter, available by reservation, while the Pine Knob Shelter at the campground's center operates on a first-come, first-served basis. The campground includes drinking water and vault toilets and accommodates both tent and RV camping.
