About
Sagebrush Campground at Glendo State Park is a low-lying campground spread over a quarter mile of the southern lakeshore of Glendo Reservoir in Platte County, Wyoming. The campground features 20 developed sites organized in four distinct areas, offering a variety of camping experiences from exposed lakeshore sites to partially shaded spots. The first area includes sites 1 and 2, which are large pull-through sites with excellent beach access but minimal shade. Sites 3 through 9 form the second area, consisting mostly of back-in sites with partial shade and one vault toilet. Site 3 has an ADA compliant cement pad, while site 9 is a group site accommodating up to three camping units with moderate tree cover. The third area contains sites 10 through 17 with established gravel parking pads positioned close together, ideal for groups camping together, along with one water hydrant and vault toilet. Most sites in this area have little shade, though sites 15-17 offer partial shade. The final area consists of sites 18 through 20, where site 18 is a group site for three units, and sites 19 and 20 are individual pull-through sites with partial shade. The campground connects with Shelter Point and Whiskey Gulch campgrounds and provides easy access to the Whiskey Gulch Boat Ramp. Amenities include two vault toilets, drinking water, ADA accessible camping pads at sites 3 and 20, and a day use group shelter. To reach the campground from I-25, travel through Glendo town to Glendo Park Road and turn south toward the main fee booth, with the first turnoff on the left-hand side.
