Reno Cove Campground

Open — Open year-round on a first-come, first-served basis. Reservations are required from May 15 through September 15. Water systems have been shut off for the season, so campers must bring their own water.

About

Reno Cove Campground is situated at Glendo State Park on Glendo Reservoir in Platte County, Wyoming. The campground follows a hillside that slopes toward the lake and is largely situated in a stand of small ponderosa pine trees. With 22 campsites spread over three separate areas, Reno Cove offers diverse camping options. Sites 1 through 11 are large sites with well-established camping pads and electrical hookups that can accommodate large rigs, though most have little to no shade except for sites 9, 10, and 11 which are partially shaded. The remaining sites are largely undeveloped with varying degrees of rougher terrain, better suited to smaller camping rigs or tent camping. Sites 2 and 18 feature large cement ADA-compliant parking pads. The campground has one water hydrant located on the western side of the high water boat ramp parking lot, along with three vault toilets distributed throughout the three camping areas. Reno Cove is notable for having both high water and low water boat ramps, making it one of two boat ramps at Glendo State Park that are reliably available year-round. The park sits on 22,000 acres with 12,000 acres of water and offers over 45 miles of multi-use trails for hiking and biking. Glendo Reservoir is home to one of Wyoming's best walleye fisheries.

Directions

From I-25, exit at Glendo and make your way through town to Glendo Park Road, turning south toward the main fee booth. Just after the main fee booth, turn left onto Lakeshore Drive and follow it for about 3 miles. The campground will be on your right.
