Bennett Hill Campground occupies a wide-open setting within Glendo State Park, a 22,000-acre recreation area in southeastern Wyoming. The campground was expanded in 2017 to include 44 campsites, with group sites (3, 4, 6, and 26-29) that accommodate up to three camping units each. Most sites feature large gravel pads in native prairie grassland with minimal shade, though sites 11-20 sit against cottonwood trees near the water and may be affected by spring water level fluctuations. The campground serves as a base for anglers targeting walleye in the reservoir, with a seasonal boat ramp and fish cleaning station on site. The courtesy dock is typically operational in early spring and removed by late July or early August. Three vault toilet facilities and potable drinking water are available. Select sites offer 30-amp and 50-amp electrical hookups. Three ADA-accessible camping pads accommodate visitors with mobility needs. Reservations are required from May 15 through September 15, with first-come, first-served camping available the rest of the year. The park charges a base camping fee plus day-use fee, with an additional charge for electrical sites.

Directions

From I-25, take the Glendo exit and turn north on Highway 319 through the town of Glendo. Turn right onto Lakeshore Drive. Bennett Hill Campground is approximately one mile down Lakeshore Drive on the left.
