About

Bennett Hill Campground at Glendo State Park is a spacious 44-site campground situated on the shores of Glendo Reservoir. Expanded in 2017, the campground offers a mix of standard and group camping sites with large, established gravel pads suitable for RVs. The campground is characterized by its wide open layout with most sites positioned in native prairie grasses, providing minimal shade but excellent views of Airport Bay and extraordinary night skies. Sites 11 through 20 are nestled against a line of cottonwoods, offering more shade but potentially impacted by high water. The campground features electrical hookups at select sites, drinking water, three vault toilets, and ADA accessible camping pads. Group sites 3, 4, 6, and 26-29 can accommodate up to three camping units each. A seasonal boat ramp and courtesy dock provide water access from early spring through late summer, with the dock typically removed in late July to early August. A reservable day-use group shelter is also available. Bennett Hill is particularly popular with walleye anglers from May through mid-July. The campground is easily accessed from I-25 via Highway 319 in Glendo, then right onto Lakeshore Drive for approximately one mile.

Directions
